Poppy House [Cape Cod Real Estate Photographer]

I was delighted for the opportunity to photograph a property in my town!  Popponesset, a small village in the southern section of Mashpee, is situated on the warm waters of the Nantucket Sound and referred to as "Poppy" by it's residents.  As soon as you enter this community you know you are in a special place.   Walkers and bikers dapple the tree lined paths as they head to the beach or Marketplace for their morning cup of coffee.

This beautiful home is nestled on a quiet dead end street, a short walk from Dean's Pond and Sandy Beach.  The shell driveway and abundant hydrangeas save as a warm welcome to this contemporary Cape.

I was greeted by Paul Thurston, the builder and realtor of this property, as well as his wife, Katie, who is also a realtor.   I was immediately captivated by Paul's attention to detail in design and woodwork, and Katie's artistic background was also evident in the finer details.  The home is filled with functional, open, and inviting living space with lots of windows and light.

The back deck opens to a backyard with trees for privacy and is bordered by hedges, providing a safe haven for children.

The second floor has lovely living and bedroom space,

but the pièce de résistance was the balcony with stunning views of the pond and Popponesset beach.

I was amazed how quiet it was here for a sunny summer weekend day.  This home is a perfect retreat whether you are entertaining family and friends or enjoying retirement.  More information is available from Paul or Katie Thurston (617-719-5300 paul.thurston@comcast.net).  Check it out!
