A Clean Slate

There is so much grumbling about the snow this winter and wondering when we are going to see the ground again.  So this morning, after yet another nightly dusting, I decided to take a little detour on my way to work.  As I navigated down the unplowed road to Mashpee Town Beach I realized that the advantage of fresh snow is that it covers the dirt and grunge that we usually witness in March.  Clear, clean, crisp, and cold.  I was the only one in the parking lot at such an early hour, and my walk was brief yet energizing.  Sooner than we think it will be hot and crowded and winter will be a distant memory.  Ahhh!

Today I felt a little warmer just thinking about it.
